Perks of Being Monochrome

Top: Marshalls - $15
Jeans: Levi's - Sale $12
Jacket: Armani Exchange - Sale $40
Shoes: Dr. Martens (borrowed)

I usually dress like a homeless, middle-aged librarian but today I'm channeling my inner delinquent. Do not underestimate the power of Dr. Martens. I had the PRIVILEGE to adorn these god-like quality boots on my feet and they give me a "Just About to Shoplift/Gonna Steal Money From Kids" edge. Along with this really cool printed long sleeve and high-waisted black jeans, I feel too cool for school.

I love prints, (as you can tell from my last post) and this modern, geometric vibe to chevron print makes this shirt one of my favorites. I kept the rest of my outfit simple and monochrome to help the print stand out. The black boots with black jeans help create a more streamline look and elongates my legs. I like wearing black and gray pieces because it makes me feel like I'm Divergent and destined to save the world.

  1. I love how simple it is :3 And yes!!! Yesterday I wore black jeans with a black oversized sweater and giant glasses so I kind of looked like a nerdy fugitive ha ha. Not to mention my blue and green hair right now.
